2012 will see the 40th running of this amazing classic motor racing spectacle. It attracts one of the largest entries of drivers in all motorsport, all trying to conquer this incredible circuit. Around 600 sports cars will compete in 11 races over the weekend across a combination of the Grand Prix circuit and the notorious Nordschleife. Cars from all eras and classes are represented from pre-war racing cars to the Formula 1 racers and touring cars of the 80's and with qualifying, practice and racing taking place from Friday morning until Sunday evening, there is plenty to keep you busy.

As well as the racing, the paddock is turned in to a motor racing fans delight. With all the mechanics working feverishly making the final adjustments to their cars and free spectator access to all areas of the paddocks and pits you really are able to get close to the drivers and their vehicles. Additionally, the far section of the paddock is turned in to a car park for the car clubs, and with well over 1,000 Porsche's and 500 Ferrari's it truly is a sight to behold!
