MG Scotland 2021

Car Club Tours

MG Scotland
26th – 30th September 2021

The 2021 edition of MG Scotland will travel to Perthshire to be based at the Dunkeld House Hotel for a four-night stay. Set amongst 280 acres of grounds and forest, this four-star Country House Hotel overlooks the fast-flowing river Tay. The hotel is the perfect base to discover the natural beauty of the Cairngorms National Park, the splendour of Scone Palace and impressive Loch Tay. This tour is strictly limited to 30 cars.

Proposed Itinerary:

Sunday 26th September
Arrive at the hotel in the afternoon for check-in. If you arrive early then you can enjoy the hotels grounds or book in an activity such as clay pigeon shooting or an off-road driving experience. You can also enjoy the hotel’s swimming pool and spa facilities or take afternoon tea, alfresco or by the fire, in order to relax and unwind after your journey. Dinner is included in the hotel restaurant each evening.

Monday 27th September
Our first scenic drive meanders along the River Tay via the Dewar’s Whisky Distillery at Aberfeldy. Then continue along the river to Kenmore where you reach the shores of Loch Tay. The picturesque scenery continues along the Loch to Killin and the ‘Falls of Dochart’. The planned route continues on the enjoyable roads via Crieff back to the hotel.
Approximate driving distance: 90 Miles

Tuesday 28th September
Today’s driving route is longer, but the journey is well worth the time. The Cairngorms National Park is stunning from start to finish. Our route takes in part of the North East 250 route as you navigate via the Glen’s in to the mountains. This stunning natural park is high enough to be home to one of Scotland’s ski ranges at Aviemore and the Cairngorms have regularly been voted in the top 20 places to visit in the world so there are plenty of views to see along the way.
Approximate driving distance: 170 miles

Wednesday 29th September
We have arranged a special welcome for you at Scone Palace with parking for your car in front of the main entrance. You will have plenty of time for a tour of the palace and grounds and the Palace even has a café that uses ingredients from the kitchen garden, making it perfect for lunch. Once refreshed you depart the grounds via the ancient archway which makes for a great photo opportunity.
Approximate driving distance: 90 miles

Thursday 30th September
After one last Scottish breakfast at the hotel, we will need to check out by 11:00hrs, to begin your journey home.
