Classic 24 Hour at Daytona is a unique event which celebrates the history of the Rolex 24 Hours.
Endorsed by Historic Sports Car Racing (HSR) and presented by IMSA, spectators this year will be able to witness the 53rd celebration of nearly 200 competing cars.
Participating cars will compete in six separate categories, which have previously competed in the Rolex 24 Hours over the past 6 decades.
Starting from 1960 each group will take part in 1 hour races, four times over the 24 hours.
The build up for this extraordinary event will include 2 days of practice, night practice and qualifying in preparation for the race.
Racing Categories
Group A : 1960- 1972
Home to the eldest sports cars and prototypes of this race.
Group B : 1973 -1982
Ranging from the 70’a to 80’s this category will see cars with more turbo-power and wide-body aerodynamics race.
Group C : 1980 -1990
This category features some unforgettable GT as well as production-based cars that were prime of the 80’s.
Group D: 1994 – 2002
Here you will see more well-known GT and prototypes from the mid- 90’s.
Group E: 2003 – 2015
This class features the quickest and most modern of the group that have raced at Daytona just a few years ago.
Group F: HSR Cars
A unique category, here you will see cars race that are not represented within the other groups, as well as some cars that have not been eligible to compete at the 24 hours of Daytona before.
