Formula 1 Austrian Grand Prix
Since returning to the Formula One calendar back in 2014 following huge renovations to the circuit, the Red Bull Ring has become a fan favourite. It’s a short circuit, held in a picturesque part of the Austria, which provides both thrilling racing and atmosphere. It’s an old-school venue, updated to feel modern, making for a perfect blend.
It’s one of the more well attended races, with tons of local interest and cross-border fans making the trip from neighbouring countries. During the racing, because it’s such a short lap, many vantage points give fans views of multiple corners, making the racing easier to keep up with. Away from the track action it’s a festival-like atmosphere in the fan village and campsites that surround the circuit for the whole event.
Spielberg as a place to visit is also fantastic. It’s a city in a more remote part of Austria, surrounded by Styrian mountains. The locals are welcoming, the food and drink is superb and the variety in accommodation options is fantastic.
Travel Destinations offers the chance to pitch up at the Camping Pink am Birkmoarhof site that is just a stone’s throw away from the circuit. Call our office today on 01707 329988 to make a booking.
